Meet the Monks

Pittsburgh is honored to welcome the Gajang Tsawa monks. The monks strives to promote harmony and peace amongst all people and within each person, and to encourage the cultivation of compassion and kindness towards all living beings. Join us in welcoming the monks to our community. We are pleased to introduce them to you and would encourage you to introduce yourselves and welcome the monks to our city.

TASHI DELEK

Tashi Delek is a Tibetan greeting. Although it is difficult and perhaps impossible to translate properly into English, Tashi means auspicious and Delek (or Deleg, Deleh) means fine or well. Different authors render it as “Blessings and good luck” or “May all auspicious signs come to this environment”.
