A Community of Peace for Healing at First United Methodist Church
The Gaden Jangste Tibetan Buddhist Monks will be in residence in the Fellowship Hall during the week of May 21-24. The monks will be creating a sacred sand mandala with an intention for healing on a platform for public viewing and shared prayers for healing. Donations are appreciated, but not required.
Schedule: Opening Ceremony, Monday, May 21, final dissolution ceremony on Saturday, May 24 around 7:00 pm.
Their visit will begin with an opening ceremony on Monday evening, May 21 at 7:00 pm. Please join Reverend Gail Sophia Ransom and the monks for an interfaith chanting service with the Worship Jam and other faith traditions on Wednesday, May 23 at 7:00 pm. On May 24, a closing ceremony will begin at 7:00 pm for a dissolution of the sand mandala. Chanting and prayers will be a part of each day in residence so please join us with your intentions for healing.
